The amazing thing about these inks is its very hard to screw up, even if you match colors you're not happy with, it can be fixed, layered, covered and even bleached with plain old witch hazel.
Here I have two high gloss papers that were stamped together for a moment and then pulled a part to bleed. This effect is similar on each page but just enough to make each piece unique. Perfect for decorating any office folders or catching excess ink.
These are my favorites, used with regular stamps and tiny card stock paper.
If you ever feel like you want to paint but are afraid of making a fool of yourself, give alcohol inks a try.
They usually come in packs of 3 for about $10, the bottles are tiny so I suggest either getting doubles or starting on small pieces of paper.
You can also use water to help bleed and fade the ink if you want the effect. Just keep in mind, the black ink tends to eat all the colors around it, like a black hole. So use it carefully or if you want, you can try to wipe it off with a dry rag, but these inks also dry really quickly.
Gloves are important because the inks have a tendency to stain finger nails and skin.
Don't feel too bad if your gloves break or get what I call "slits" from paper cuts and dye your skin, it will come out with a little ajax and a scrubbie....eventually:)
Oh and stay away from gloves with talc in them because one way or another you'll forget about it later, itch your eye and regret it. It's kind of like what I imagine having a bee sting your eyeball would be like...
And as usual, always paint near an open window or a fan for ventilation, this stuff can cause wicked headaches.
